The challenge

Popular terminal fetch tools like Neofetch became unmaintained, while newer rewrites introduced multi-megabyte binary dependencies or slow Python startup times. Developers wanted an instant, lightweight telemetry utility that launches instantaneously in new shell sessions.

The approach

We crafted Fletch entirely in native Bash 4.0+ using direct `/proc` and `sysfs` queries rather than spawning hundreds of subshells. It features modular ANSI color palettes (Nord, Dracula, Gruvbox) and ASCII emblems with instant terminal rendering.
