Tectonix Engine
A physics-driven seismic simulation platform and geospatial engine modeling earthquake ground motion on regional tectonic faults using physical formulations.

The challenge
Most seismic hazard platforms rely on static maps or heavy desktop GIS packages that take hours to configure and cannot run dynamically in modern web browsers. When evaluating complex fault zones like Dauki or Chittagong-Tripura, teams lacked a real-time, interactive tool to simulate peak ground acceleration (PGA) and spectral response across varied soil conditions without specialized local compute clusters.
The approach
We built a full-stack simulation pipeline featuring parametric fault geometry generation, GMPE (Ground Motion Prediction Equations) attenuation math, and dynamic geospatial heatmaps. Computations run with low latency, rendering rupture scenarios directly on interactive GIS map layers with instant feedback for civil resilience planning.
